What AlfredOps is
AlfredOps is an employee app. It is used by staff at hospitality businesses that hold a contract with Alfred Ops Limited. It is not a consumer product: you can use AlfredOps only if your employer has invited you.
If you have installed the app and you do not work for one of our customers, you can still create a sign-in account, but it will not be linked to any workplace. You will land on a screen telling you exactly that. There is nothing to browse and no data to see.
Getting an invite
Invites are issued by your employer, not by us. An administrator at your company adds you in their team settings, and you receive an email (and, where your employer has switched it on, a text message) with a link.
We cannot create an account for you directly. If you need access, ask your manager or whoever administers AlfredOps at your company.
If you cannot sign in
- Use the exact email address your invite was sent to. Signing in with a different address creates an account that is not linked to your workplace.
- If you get in but see “Your account isn't linked to a workspace”, use the Link my account button on that screen. It matches your verified email address against pending invites.
- If your invite link has expired or has already been used, that same screen has a link to send a fresh one to the same email address. If that does not help, ask your administrator to invite you again.
- If none of that works, email support@alfredops.com with the email address on your invite and the name of your site.
Notifications, microphone and photos
The mobile app can send push notifications, for example a shift prompt or a new briefing. iOS asks your permission the first time. You can change that at any point in the iOS Settings app under Notifications, and you can switch individual notification types off inside AlfredOps under Settings.
The app also asks for microphone access, and only for one thing: the voice input in chat. Declining it leaves the rest of the app working normally.
Uploading a photo, whether to an inspection, a thread or your profile, goes through the standard iOS file picker. The app does not ask for camera or photo-library access of its own.
Questions about your data
Most of the personal data in AlfredOps is your employer's data about their staff, held and processed on their instructions. Requests to see, correct or delete your records normally start with your employer, who can act on your record directly.
You can still write to us and we will help route the request. Contact support@alfredops.com, or read the Privacy Policy for what the product holds and why.
If you are asking for records to be deleted, read section 11 of the Privacy Policy first. It sets out exactly which records the product's erasure function removes today and which ones it leaves in place.
If you are a member of staff, start with your employer. They decide who works for them, what your role is and which sites you cover, so most requests are settled fastest there. You can write to us as well, and we will work with them.
Reporting a problem
The details that help us most:
- What you were trying to do, and what happened instead
- The page or screen you were on
- Your site and your role
- Whether you were in the mobile app or a web browser
- Roughly when it happened
